Soapaid for Venezuelan immigrants

11/03/2019

Since 2002 Soapworks has pioneered Soap Aid in collaboration with ‘Glasgow the Caring City’ delivering bar soaps to help millions of people in countries affected by natural disasters such as, famine ,  flooding and earth quakes as well as conflict and acute deprivation. Soapworks as a company have supported global communities with over 2 million Soap aid bars over many years.

We are delighted to again provide much needed support as part of the Daabon Group and produce over 135,000 Soap Aid bars to donate sanitary help to migrants making their ways by foot from Venezuela to Colombia. Most of these vulnerable families having young children with them, arrive to slums with low to none hygiene and without bathrooms. This aid will be given through Cruz Roja Colombiana focusing on the north coast of Colombia and Minuto de dios in Bogota. All this is possible with the help of Prime, providing the logistics costs of delivery to these people in need.

Our commitment to social responsibility goes right back to our founding and we are all delighted to help such a worthwhile cause.
